New Life in a New Landby Ken Lewis
In March 1999 a group of eleven adults and one two year old left the DFW International Airport for their new home in Santiago, Chile. They spent the ensuing months in intensive language training, cultural adaptation and in getting to know their new surroundings. Their goal is to establish a dynamic, centrally located congregation in the very heart of this national capital.
But there have also been other "beginnings" worthy of note among team members. First, Kelley and Julie Grant were blessed in November with the birth of their second child, little Abby! Her older brother, Duncan, is overjoyed with the arrival of a little sister. We rejoice with this wonderful family in the arrival of their new daughter!
In addition, two other couples on the team have received news that the Stork is on his way with a precious package. Denise Dean and Michele Kilmer are both expecting their first baby! These two new members of the Santiago Mission Team are expected to arrive in July and August. May our Lord bless these wonderful families that have risked it all for Jesus' sake! We rejoice with them as they celebrate new life in a new land. Back to Table of Contents
